What do you want to be when you grow up? Ooh I want to be a more eccentric version of myself. Future me is continually learning and growing in a way that nurtures my boys & hopefully teaches them to be good men, all while respecting the planet

What’s something interesting that your customers wouldn’t know about you? I once made a film with my friend Kristy about girls cycling around Sydney & it was accepted for an international film festival which meant it was screened in London at the Barbican & in Sydney at the Sydney opera House.

What’s a goal for your business / life in 5 years time? I’d love to have my own design studios in Melbourne & the UK with happy staff making lovely clothes from transparently sourced fabric & dyed from plant dye created from my own garden.

What’s your favourite piece of clothing you own / owned? Oh thats so tricky as i get very sentimental about clothes, but probably the one I loved the most but equally has a lot of sadness attached, was my wedding dress. It was a couture 1960’s dress with exquisite embroidery and it was just the most elegant thing I ever owned.

What hobby would you get into if time and money weren’t an issue? I’d love to know how to make neon signs, I imagine that to be so fun & I like an excuse to work with tools and fun materials like glass and I assume metal (i could be wrong!)

What job would you be terrible at? Any kind of public speaking job, or one where you need to be articulate…or a podiatrist…i’m not a fan of feet.

What skill would you like to master? Skateboarding, I so badly wish i knew how to skate.

What are some small things that guarantee to make your day better? Fresh flowers, cuddles from my children, a nice comment from a customer (i think that last one is actually my fave).

What fad or trend do you hope comes back? I don’t really like trends as they kind of water down the original but

What city would you most like to live in? Barcelona, in an art nouveau apartment with big windows, that would be a dream

What is your weakness? Anything sweet, I’m all or nothing so blocks of chocolate only last a few minutes in my presence. Im extremely envious of people who can eat a square or even a row and put the rest of the block away for another time. Also I tend to think i can do more than I logically have time too, so that always leads to late nights and excessive coffee consumption

What are you looking forward to in the coming months? Christmas, I’m hoping to make it back to Australia this year for my first summer Christmas in 6 years and it will be wonderful for my boys to spend time surrounded by family.

What do you wish you knew more about? Oh gosh so much, business, politics...basically all the topics that would be useful to understand to make a positive impact on the world.

If you could convince everyone in the world to do one thing at one point in time, what would that thing be? I’d love to be able to show everyone that reusable nappies aren’t that scary/difficult/expensive/messy to use.

What’s something you are self-conscious about? Despite having braces in my teens my top teeth have been getting more and more crooked, and i have one on the top that in some lights sits back and looks like its missing, hence my head is often down/to one side only in pictures, that’s when i remember to hide it.

What was the most memorable gift you’ve received? I think one of the most thoughtful things an ex did was buy www.eirlie.com for me, i was only about 22 but he knew i wanted to have a business one day and i always thought it was a really nice present. That and probably the first issues of Vogue that my mum bought me in my early teens. She didn’t think much of teen magazines so instead bough me that and Harpers Bazaar, which I poured over from cover to cover and really fuelled my love of fashion.
