I was really sad to hear this week that the wonderful @littlepicklesdesign will be no more. They paint all the artwork before having it digitally printed on fabric (like the gorgeous winter vegetables in this top) and then employ a local seamstress to make up their designs making their work 100% unique. They also sold them at a really reasonable price to stay competitive, however it’s just so hard to stick to your design & manufacturing ethnics, whilst completing with brands who lack zero and any feeling of social responsibility whilst selling tees for £3.99. @yunion_t wrote a more eloquent post about this point over the weekend which is a good read if your interested. I know that it’s not always easy or even possibly to make a purchasing decision based on a companies ethics, price points are invariably higher which automatically rules out lots of us indies. I just discovered @montyandco over the weekend too (seems like I was slow to the party on that one!) and they have a wonderful program where they take back good quality items of theirs that you’ve purchased & no longer wear, and sell them at a 2nd hand price.
